In 2011 the city of Salford will become the Media City of the UK. Loads of TV departments, studios, appartments, shops and bars are currently being built in the Salford region of Manchester UK. The old BBC Manchester building will be re-used for other purposes, while its staff move to MediaCity. Many of the BBC departments such as sport and childrens will move from their base at Londons TV centre, creating thousands on new jobs. It all looks like it will bring a new dimention to North West England just as London begin to host the Olympics in 2012. MORE
